Dial *161*234#

Select Option 1: Self registration (Only for Absa customers)

Enter branch code

Select branch name

Enter account number

Press 1 to accept terms and conditions

Enter date of birth digits

Enter card number digits

Enter debit card’s expiry date

Receive confirmation screen of successful registration

Temporary mobile banking PIN will be sent to your device via SMS
How to pay bills and electricity
Dial *161*234#

Enter mobile banking PIN

Select option 4: Pay bills

Select pay a registered biller if any

Select the biller

Enter bill amount

Select the account to be debited

Press ## to proceed

Press 1 to confirm transaction

Confirmation screen.

You receive a token via SMS
How to transfer funds to someone's Absa account
Dial *161*234#

Enter mobile banking PIN

Select option 6: Funds transfer

Select register beneficiary

Select Absa A/C

Enter branch code

Enter beneficiary account number

Enter beneficiary nick name

Press 1 to confirm

You will see a confirmation screen
How to do CashSend
Dial *161*234#

Select the ‘Cash Send’ option from list

Enter your 4 digit PIN for Hello Money

Enter the amount to be sent

Create a 4-digit custom PIN for the transaction

Confirm the 4-digit PIN created at step 5 by re-entering it

Enter the recipient’s mobile number (this is mandatory)

Confirm the transaction, and receive a confirmation note of the transaction. An SMS will be sent to the number entered at step 7 with the details of the voucher

Send the PIN separately to the recipient for security reasons

Select M-Wallet (option 8)

Select wallet for sending money to (In this case its Orange Money)

Select wallet to transfer funds to (to own number or to other mobile number)

Enter the number you wish to send money to

Enter amount you wish to transfer

Select account you would like to transfer from

Confirm the transaction
